Taxing Campaign Contributions for Incumbents
For all those politicians who prattle on about the rich not paying their fair share of taxes, here is a great reform:
Every elected Incumbent Federal official (House, Senate, President) should have their campaign contributions taxed at the federal income tax rate. If the tax rate is 40%, then 40% of their campaign contributions get turned over to the IRS.
These incumbent politicians set the tax rates. Let the tax rates affect their ability to get re-elected!
If challengers were NOT subject to the campaign tax, it might give them a fairer chance of winning.
Do you think the top tax rates might suddenly lower when our leaders campaigns are burdened by them?
